Server-Side Java Developer London to 50k. Online gaming developer with over 25 million active registered users now requires experienced Server-Side Java Developer for their expanding London office. Jetty web server tech helps deliver their highly scalable web platform to sites such as Facebook and as an experienced Server-Side Java Developer you will be working with the games studios in London, Norway and China to implement scalable server-side java back-end logic.
To be involved with this leading online gaming outfit as a Server-side Java Developer you MUST have:
* Strong server-side Java development experience
* practical understanding of massively scalable system design (think YouTube, Facebook, Google etc)
* Pure development - ability to get the job done without big web frameworks or libraries
* SQL Knowledge
* High level of attention to detail
* Flexibility - the ability to quickly prototype and then to evolve these prototypes into production-quality massively-scalable systems
* Demonstrable record of full SDLC involvement in high-quality client-server applications
* BSc or Msc or equivalent in a technical discipline
All the above are essential - but if you have the following then you could be ideal:
* Jetty web server experience
* Enthusiasm for games particularly online gaming, casual gaming or MMORPG
* Flash Networking / Flash Remoting (AS3 / Actionscript 3)
* Javascript development knowledge
* Linux experience and a preference for open source technology, open source platforms
