Looking for a Senior Frontend web Designer and web Developer to join a team based in central London. Your focus will be on frontend web design, usability (50%) and frontend web development (50%).
You must be experienced designing consumer web apps, with a focus on social networking, communities and live communications – chat, voice and video comms. You must have worked on a site with an active user base of more than 1 million users, and have a strong grounding in usability design and testing your designs with focus groups and live users.
Must haves:
• Minimum 4-5 years of CSS / HTML / JavaScript
• XSLT
• Experiencing building big web apps
• Photoshop / Illustrator (for mocking up proofs / visuals)
Very desirable experience:
• Graphic art / design background: creating icons / images / virtual gifts
• Animated gifts
• Creation of Banner Ads / Animated Banners
• Flash Animation (animated gifts / banners / small games)
• Familiarity with Django / Python / Hg (Mercurial)
You should be used to working in a high pressure, fast turnaround environment. and be looking for a challenging environment where you will be given a lot of freedom and responsibility.
It is likely that you will have worked at a top consumer Internet company such as Google, Facebook, Skype, Last.fm or Yahoo etc. as a senior web designer or senior web developer.
