Support technique / Multi-lingual 1st Line Technical Support / Helpdesk Guildford - with Fluent English and French, to £21k - Great entry level opportunity with good salary and prospects for Multi-lingual Technical Support person with SQL skills to progress into international support, software development and international installations.
Very successful and friendly SME software house with UK and international clients, based in Guildford are continuing to expand and now require a multi-lingual IT Technical Support / helpdesk person with SQL and good general IT and admin skills to support the activities of the rest of the team.
Because of their expanding international client-base this role requires fluent English and French language skills. This technical support role would be an ideal first or 2nd job but all applications will be given equal consideration. The day to day work will be varied from 1st line technical support (bespoke software, SQL queries, PCs and servers running Windows), admin, answering the phone and various other office-based tasks as required. You must have an aptitude for computers, understand how to write SQL statements and queries and an excellent & professional telephone manner - and be able to work well within a small team of committed professionals.
A formal IT qualification is preferable and full training is provided but you must be able to demonstrate the desire and ability to work well with PC-based software and know how to construct SQL queries. Knowledge of Sybase and previous experience of software support are desirable.
As the company supports clients across Europe language skills in French
& English are essential and Spanish or other EU languages would be highly desirable additions to your skill-set.
